Dorothy Lou “Dottie” Coker, 77, died December 9, 2014. Dottie was a graduate of Memphis Tech High and was employed by General Electric and Honeywell Distribution. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John. Dottie is also survived by two sons, Russell Coker of Memphis, John Terrell Coker of Memphis, a daughter, Kimber Kauffman of Memphis, brother Clyde Taylor (Catherine), five grandchildren, two of whom she helped raise and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her family she enjoyed music, painting and flower gardening. Visitation will be held at Family Funeral Care 4925 Summer Ave on Thursday, December 11th from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be at Family Funeral Care at 2 p.m. with interment in Memphis Memory Gardens.
