June 22, 1944March 23, 2020

Doretha Loretta Franks, 75, passed away Monday morning March,23 2020 in her Memphis TN home surrounded by family. Born June 22,1944 to Clifford Guebert and Louise Shackleford in Fisher, AR. She was proceeded in death by her parents; her brother, Bobby; her husband, Gary, and her son,Randy.

'Dottie', as her loved ones called her, was a fun, energetic, somewhat wild country girl. After moving to Memphis, she was married twice. Her second marriage was to Gary Franks on May 24,1968. She was married to the love of her life for 35 long years before his passing in 2003. They had one daughter together Terri Franks and Dottie had one child from her previous marriage, Randy Davis who unfortunately passed in 1982. After her grandchildren were born, her name changed to Grandottie which stuck until her passing. This amazing woman would want her fulfilling life to be celebrated. She was the glue that held her family together. She put her family above all else, and in return she was surrounded with overwhelming love. Everyone’s life she came into contact with was impacted. She wasn’t just the mother and grandmother of our family, but anyone who knew her. Always willing to open her home or offer a hot meal to anyone in need.

Grandottie was a Godly woman her entire life no matter how many times her faith was put to the test. Heaven gained one of its most precious angels the day he called her home. She will be greatly missed by many. It’s not goodbye, just until we see you again. She is survived by her daughter,Terri Franks Case; her grandchildren, Carl Davis, Chance Case, Cortney Case and Chassidy Case and 7 great grand children.

Let me share a memory of Grandottie... Gosh I have so many let me first start by saying my family use to live in the cove with them, so we go way back over 30plus years! Grandottie was like a grandmother to me and my sisters & brother we loved her so much as she loved us, & our kids. Grandottie was the sweetest, kindest loving lady, who never judged anyone even when we should have! She always would come to my kids bday’s parties. She was 1 of kind! She was one of the strongest role models that inspire me in so many ways. Now she is in heaven with Granddaddy, & her son Randy, & most of all with my guardian angel my sister Cassie Lou!! I love you Grandottie & may u Rest In Peace sweet OG legend of nut bush that’s for sure, you will be missed dearly!!! R.I.P sweet lady!!! Love ya, always & 4 life..
