Dorothy Baker Lyle, 86, of Memphis, Tennessee, died March 26, 2011 at her home with her family around her. Mrs. Lyle worked for General Motors and was the church secretary for Ridgeway Baptist church before she retired. Visitation will be on Monday, March 28 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Poplar Avenue. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 29 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Baptist Church, 2500 Ridgeway Road, Memphis, TN, 38119. Burial will be in Memphis Memory Gardens cemetery where she will be buried next to her husband William J. Lyle whom preceded in her in death. Mrs. Lyle is survived by her daughter Billie Sue Alexander (Eddie) of Memphis; son Jerry Lyle (Wanda) of Lambertville, N.J.; grandchildren Chris Alexander (Meredith) of Knoxville, TN, Kelly Bunker (Scott) of Douglasville, GA, and Jessica & Tavy Lyle of Lambertville, N.J.; great-grandchildren MacKenzie & Alex Bunker; sister Jean Baker Johnston of Brent, AL; and brother Harold Baker of Aberdeen, MS.
