Dorothy Ann McGehee

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney C. McGehee, Jr.; mother, Radie George; father, William F. George; sister, Francis Fuell; brothers, Robert (Pete) George, William (Bill) George, Thomas King; granddaughter, Donna Essary; and great grandchild, Adrian Mardis.

She is survived by her brother, Earnest (Jack) George; and four daughters, Mary Ann Vazquez (Don) of Memphis, Margaret Wilkerson (Bill) of Olive Branch, MS, Sharon Parks (Dean) of Collierville, TN, and Sheila Greene of Byhalia, MS.

She also has 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and soon to have one great- great grandchild. She was lovingly known to them as Me Maw.

She was retired from Sears Roebuck after 30 plus years of service and a member of Still Waters Baptist Church.

She was a pillar of faith in our family. Her love for Jesus saturated everything she did. She loved us well, lived for Jesus, and leaves behind a legacy of a faith. She was a caregiver to many over the years giving of herself and time in any way she could.

A gathering will be held Friday, October 13th at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. from 12 to 2 pm with Funeral Service starting at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Parkway.

The family request all Memorials be sent to Still Waters Baptist Church or Gideon Bibles.
