Dorothy Jean Ray Ward of Memphis, born on Feb. 27, 1930, died on Feb. 27, 2015, at the age of 85. Dorothy was active in many organizations at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, but her passion was the Ministry to the Sick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Chandler "Chuck" Ward, Sr., and son-in-law, Doug Hunt. Dorothy is survived by her family: children Deborah Kay Ward Hunt, Dianne Caecilia Ward Edwards (Chip) and Forrest Chandler "Chuck" Ward, Jr. (Anita); five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m., all at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be held afterwards at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Ministries or to a charity of the donor's choice.
