
Dorothy Juanita Williams Wood passed away in Pensacola, FL on April 4, 2012 at the age of 72. She was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas on July 19, 1939. Juanita was the daughter of Alvin Williams, and Addie Mae Dunnam, and grew up in the Marked Tree, Tyronza Arkansas area. She later moved to Memphis, and there she met and married A.V. “Bill” Wood, who was in the Navy assigned to NAS Millington at the time. She also lived in Jacksonville FL, and Key West, FL, before moving back to the Memphis area. Juanita lived and worked as a bookkeeper in Memphis until her retirement in 2002. In 2007 she moved to northwest Florida and lived with her son and daughter-in-law. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Addie Mae Williams; her sisters, Hannah Drewry and Phyllis Williams, and brother Charles Williams. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sandra Wood; her brother, Robert Williams of Somerville, TN, her brother, Doug Williams and his wife Lillian of Somerville, her brother, Jimmy Williams and his wife Sharon of Decaturville, TN and her sister, Diane Davis and her husband Larry of Sardis, MS. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation and services will be held at Memphis Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar Avenue in Memphis at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7 with funeral to be at 1 p.m. at Memory Hill Gardens, 3700 N.
