My deepest condolences to you and he was such a sweet person! He really took care of Terry his wife! I can tell some jokes on that! God has received an angel!

One of my most funniest memories of Eddie is when I discovered that he had hid a Snickers bar. I interrupted him watching his favorite western, Gunsmoke.
He left me with nothing but good fond memories. ❤️

My name is Alexia, cousin-in-love of Carla. While, I did not know Mr. Eddie well, what I did know is that he did not play about a good movie! I remember it being Ari’s birthday and all the family was gathered between the living room and the kitchen. I began playing with Ari’s new dragon toy, and unfortunately for Mr. Eddie, I managed to be directly in between him and the tv. He politely and sternly tapped me on my shoulder,  letting me know that I was obstructing his view and I needed to adjust my standing immediately. I was so taken aback at the seriousness of his taps, and the lingering disappointment on his face that from that moment forward I made sure to never come between him and a movie again. To this day that is a cherished memory in my heart, a tickle in my belly, and the way that I will remember him forever.

Christmas Eve 2025, I passed out jackets to all my male relatives. But, for Eddie, I gave him a simple black t-shirt that I knew he would love. When he raised it up for all to see, it had G O A T written on the front. Someone yelled THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! Eddie looked confused because he knew he saw something different on his t-shirt. So immediately I screams NOOOO!!! It means GOD OVER ALL THINGS!!! Eddie grinned so hard and said happily YES HE IS!!! He LOVED his  GOAT t-shirt just as I knew he would. And to the person who yelled THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! You were not wrong to say that. Because Eddie was the GREATEST!!! The Greatest Husband, the Greatest Dad, the Greatest Brother, The Greatest Brother-In-Law and the Greatest Uncle!!! He said I Do to my sister, Terry and he never wavered or disappointed her. He stayed the course, faithfully until God called him Home!!! I would like to think Eddie is singing LOUDLY and MELODIOUSLY in God's Heavenly Choir!!! Continuously singing praises to God's Name!!!🎶

Carla,  my heart is so heavy for you during this difficult time. I am deeply sorry for the loss of your father. I can only imagine the pain you are feeling, but I hope you find comfort in the love, memories, and special moments you shared with Mr. Eddie. I walked in to talk with my praying husband, but he was already talking to his Lord. He yet believed in getting on his knees morning and night to have a little talk with God.
