Peggy and Family; I know I can speak for Uncle Earl’s family, that we truly loved Dooney and his family. Our sincere condolences and prayers will be with you all. We will not be able to attend in person, but will be with you all in spirit and prayer.

Peggy and Family, He was such a great and happy cousin. We did not see each other as we got older but I never forgot about y’all. Bill and I cannot attend but please know we will be thinking of you. May God bless you and your dear family. Joann and Bill Gates

Ree, what a beautiful memory and tribute about Doonie! I know as young kids, my brother, Buddy, and I thought he looked like Jack Webb, of Dragnet. Several years ago, we had an Ikerd reunion, and Doonie was there, how he loved the Lord. Peggy, sorry we can’t be there, but all of you are in our prayers. Fly high Doonie until we all meet again!

I remember my cousin Doonie as a soft-spoken, kind-hearted man. I know he loved his family and his dear friends as family! He was a godly man who loved our Lord, and, as I told Peggy, he had a direct connection to Heaven! There’s great rejoicing there now! We are so sorry that we cannot be there to join in the celebration of his life, but we will be there in spirit! Love to you all.
