Tony grew up in Jackson as an only child. He attended Union University, earning his bachelor’s degree in 1965, and later graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville in December 1967. He served his country in the United States Army in 1968 and left the Army in 1970. After private practice from 1970 to 1994 he went on to serve Shelby County Government in various legal capacities from 1994 until retirement in 2024 when he retired as the Shelby County Public Works Division Policy and Procedure Officer.
Tony is survived by his friend, Louise Horton.
Friends will be received from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, October 22 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN. A graveside service will follow at 1:00pm at Ridgecrest Cemetery, 200 Ridgecrest Rd, Jackson, TN.
