

Edward L. “Butch” Pollan, 71, of Southaven, MS passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Methodist Hospital-Germantown. He was born on July 16, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee. Butch was a retired Captain with the Memphis Fire Department, loved snow skiing, cruises and traveling. He also loved carpentry, was very generous as he enjoyed treating people to lunch frequently and loved his family and pets dearly. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Charles D. Pollan, Jr and Alease Martin Pollan; and his brother, James Allen Pollan. He is survived by his sons, Randy Pollan (Candy), Russell Pollan (Becky) and Ryan Pollan; daughter, Pattie Pollan; brothers, Ronnie, Bobby and Billy Pollan; sisters, Carol Paxson and Linda Burns; grandchildren, Lacey Weaver, Zack Pollan, Graham Pollan, Grace Anne Pollan and Owen Brown; and great granddaughter, Lyla Weaver. The family will receive friends with a catered reception provided from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN.
