Eldora Hansen

Eldora Louise Donovan Hansen, 87, Of Memphis, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013. She was a native Memphian and graduate of Southside High School. Eldora carried many roles throughout her life, she was an active member of her children’s PTA, a devoted caregiver for her parents and her husband, and active in her grandchildren’s lives. She was a member of Jackson Avenue United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Hansen, her parents Arda and Phillip Donovan, and four brothers Phillip Jr, Arlee, John, and Ronald Donovan. Eldora leaves her children Phyllis Grant, John Hansen (Vicky), Donald Hansen (Diane), Patti Pettit (Rick), Cindy Betha (Rick), one sister Edith Ruby, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm, Tuesday, October 29, 2013, with funeral services at 2pm, on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, all at Family Funeral Care. Burial will follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
