Elsie Lorraine Johnson, 81, of Memphis, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2014. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Colonial Baptist Church in Memphis, the Memphis African Violet Society, the Greater Memphis Bird Club, the American Budgerigar Society, as well as a past member of the Iris Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Louis Johnson. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughters, Carole Hedrick (Greg) and Mary Martin. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Christina Baker (Chris) and Hillary Hedrick, and two great-grandchildren, Grace Hedrick and Rylee Baker. A Graveside service will be held in the Rotunda of West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:15am.
