Emmett R. Garner, Jr., 87, of Cordova, TN, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014. He was retired from Paine Webber (UBS). He graduated from Memphis Technical High School and joined the Navy. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Agnes Bailey Garner; a son, Terry Garner (Peggy); a daughter, Janet Garner; a grandaughter, Gena Garner; a brother, James E. Garner of Tucson, AZ.; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and a godson, J. Spencer Medford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Garner, Sr. and Elizabeth Hare Garner. Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday September 19th at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery Rotunda on Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis.
