Ernest W. Green, 99, of Memphis, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015, 12 days shy of his 100th Birthday. Mr. Green , a WWII Navy Veteran, was a member of Germantown Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Grace Blackman Green, his son, Bob Green, and his granddaughter, Krista Kay Green. Mr. Green is survived by his children, Joy Baker, Jim Green, and Kathy Nunnally, three brothers, Clois Green, Phillip Henry Green II, and Jerry Kent Green, his close friend, Mary Gullett, 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15 from 1 p.m. until the service begins at 2 p.m., all at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis. Interment will follow in Cordova Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Agape Memphis.
