Esther Geralynn Gresham

Esther Geralyn Allen Gresham, 92, departed this life Oct. 10, 2010 in Starkville, MS. Geralyn was a native Memphian, born May 16, 1918. She graduated from Central High School and attended Southwestern College, where she was a member of Tri-Delta Sorority. Geralyn married Lt. Lawrence L. Gresham on April 6, 1944 at the Post Chapel of Harding Field, LA. With a great love of art and of architecture, she became a draftsman after her studies at Memphis State University. She worked for J.F. Shelton Company and later, Sears Annex. She was a member of the King’s Daughters, Francis Circle for many years. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. Geralyn was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Gresham and by her daughter, Lennor Lynn Gresham Calhoun. She is survived by her sons, Lawrence Lee Gresham of Starkville, MS, Douglas Allen Gresham of Friendswood, TX; her daughter Cathy Ann Crane of Niceville, FL. She also leaves her grandchildren, Charles Allen Gresham of Starkville, MS, Laura Lynn Crane and Elizabeth Ann Crane of Niceville, FL. Visitation at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue, will be from 12 - 1:30 p.m.Thursday, October 14. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 4761 Brunswick Rd., Brunswick, TN. Rev.
