Eugene Joseph Mottley, 76, passed away March 11, 2018 at his home in Memphis. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and of Memphis State University. He was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving with the 2nd Force Reconnaissance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Joeseph Smith Mottley and Mary Elizabeth Hogan Mottley and a stillborn twin brother, Timothy Hogan Mottley.
He is survived by two sons, Frederick J. (Kimberly) Mottley of Boston, Massachusetts and Patrick J. Mottley of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Gavin and Hannah Mottley; two sisters, BobbieJo Mottley Rennie of Memphis and Judith Mottley of Louisville, Kentucky and three brothers William, David and Kevin Mottley all of Louisville, Kentucky; nieces Beverly Wade Novay, Linda Wade Wimmer, Carol Wade McDowell and Laura Wade Willoughby.
Committal services will be held Friday March 23 at 10:15 A.M. at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Honors will be rendered by the United States Marine Corps.
