Eva Beatrice Gross

Eva Beatrice Gross, 90, of Lakeland, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Kings, Daughter, and Sons Home, where she was a resident. Mrs. Gross, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Covington, TN, was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Buddy” Gross, her parents, Henry and Eva Champion of Pocahontas, TN, and one sister, Melba Gailor (Jim). She is survived by her daughter, Ruthie Swafford (Mike), her son, James Abbott (Carolyn), five grandchildren, Stacey McCauley (Jeff), Billy Smith, David Abbott (Celia), Shane Hopper (Kimberly), and Deennea Gable, as well as six great-grandchildren, Colin McCauley, Megan Smith, Brittnie Hopper, Brooke Abbott, Emily Abbott, and Jessica Higgins. She also leaves to cherish her memory her great-nephew, Ryan Keele (Brett), and their children, Noah and Brookelyn. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 4-6pm and the funeral service will be held at 1:30pm Sunday, February 1, 2015, all at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Brownfield, TN.
