EVELYN G. ACOSTA

Evelyn G. Acosta, 86, of Collierville, TN, died December 6, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She retired after 40 years with AT&T and was a member of the AT&T Pioneers and St. Patrick's Presbyterian Church in Collierville. Mrs. Acosta was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Acosta, and her brother, Dr. Joe Asa Griffin. She is survived by her son, Henry Carlyle Acosta and daughter-in-law, Sue Ann, of Collierville, sisters, Natalie Grear of Bartlett, Aileen Berg of Bloomington, MS, sister-in-law, Allene Griffin of Florence, SC, grandchildren, Anna, Nicholas and Caroline Acosta and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue.
