EVERETT E. AVERY, of Cordova, TN, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011. He was the widower of Sylvia K. Avery. He was born in Gulfport, MS, the son of Frank and Susie Pearl Avery.He was retired from Memphis Machine Works and was a member of Advent Presbyterian Church. He is survived by two daughters, Beth (Robert) Rixie of Cordova, TN, Barbara Lapworth of Florida and a sister, Evelyn Halverson of Dallas, TX. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Jennifer Warmbrod, Robert Rixie, Jr., Erica Lalonde, and Adrian Buhler; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends Monday, August 15 from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar Ave. Funeral services will be at Memphis Funeral Home Tuesday, August 16 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Memphis Memory Gardens.
