

Florence Bursi Gallini, 90, of Memphis, Tennessee, died March 4, 2012 of natural causes in her home. She was born September 22, 1921 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her mother Johannah Priora-Bursi, her father, Joseph Bursi, Sr., her husband Albert D. Gallini, and her sister Lucille Bursi-Gallini. Florence leaves her two children Diane Gallini Markee (Mark) and Daniel Gallini. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tonya Wyne (Bo), Jana Kyle (Jamin), Alan Gallini, Matt Markee (Marybeth) and Michael Markee (Jenny); ten great-grandchildren Kayla, Seth, Madeline, Amelia, Zack, Nate, Ella, Jenna, Timmy and Sarah Ann. She leaves a sister Louise Bursi-Grandi and a brother Joseph Bursi, Jr. both of Memphis. She was a loving and devoted wife and home maker of 62 years. She took enormous pride in the unique bond of her family. She had a joyful spirit and never met a stranger. She was adored by all who met her, was deeply loved and will be truly missed. Services will be held on Thursday, March 8 beginning at 10AM at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit where she was a communicant for over 30 years. Visitation will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 5599 Poplar Avenue on Wednesday, March 7 from 5PM – 8PM with a rosary service at 7:30PM. Interment will follow the funeral in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to the Monastery of St. Clair and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
