

Florence Mary Piano (62). Olive Branch, MS went home to be with Jesus after passing away peacefully at her home on February 8th, 2017. She was preceded by her parents Rose Marie (Ronza) and John G. Piano, Jr., and her brother John G. Piano, III. She leaves a sister Marie (Drew) Baumgartner, a niece Christina Tester, a nephew William Baumgartner, and a great niece Milayna Tester. She will also be greatly missed by dozens of cousins as well as the children for which she cared for as a nanny. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and for always having a big smile on her face. She was a prayerful person and a communicant of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hernando, MS where she was very involved in the choir and music programs and wrote many beautiful songs. She also had a strong melodious voice. In 1989 Flo sang at the Mass at the MidSouth Coliseum when St. Teresa of Calcutta visited Memphis to open a shelter for women. Flo was active in the Diocesan Catholic Charismatic Renewal and Cursillo. Being a nanny was natural for her since she loved children. She was active in the children’s ministry. She also wrote children’s books. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life during visitation on Tuesday, February 14th from 6pm to 8pm at Memphis Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church in Whitehaven on Wednesday, Feburary15th at 10 AM Memphis Funeral home has charge. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you send a donation to the Monastery of St. Clare in Memphis.
