

Florencia Acosta Molleno, age 83 of Collierville passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013. She was born November 7, 1929 in Bo. Bolbok, Batangas City, Philippines. Florencia was married to Ricardo Molleno April 17, 1949 at Basilica of the Immaculate Conception at Batangas City, Philippines. He has preceded her in death. She received her US citizenship February 18, 1999. Mrs. Molleno was a homemaker. Besides her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Candido and Tino Atienza; one sister, Modesta Macatangay; one son-in-law, Walter Johnston. Survivors include six daughters, Evelyn Johnston of Collierville, Emma Baticos, Ellen Molleno, Elsa Gayas, Anselma Aguila, and Juliet Legesniano, all of the Philippines. Six sons, Roger, Robert, Ricky, Rudy, Rene, and Randy Molleno, all of the Philippines; four sisters, Juana Aldover of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Susana Fragada, Laura Andal, and Natalia Firme, all of the Philippines; one brother, Avelino Atienza of Alberta, Canada; 37 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be 4 PM Monday, July 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints located at 580 Collierville-Arlington Road in Collierville. The family will receive friends at the church from 3 PM till service time. Interment will follow 1:30 PM Tuesday, July 16 at West Tennessee Veterans’ cemetery.
