For the  past few weeks I have  been thinking of you and Pete and memories  of times in Chicago and Memphis. I  put the name in my iPad and now I will have you in my prayers.  I am with one of my daughters in NM now.

Thinking of you, Marian, Mimi and of your mom. It's so hard to to lose a parent..........................

Dear Mary:  

You are certainly in our prayers in the loss of your fine husband, Pete.  Beryl and I feel privileged to have met both of you on our trips to Branson.  We will never forget the tennis shoes incident!  Pete had such a fine sense of humor and never hesitated to befriend anyone.  He shared his life with so many.  

We will miss him, but will see him again in heaven. May the Lord provide you comfort.

Boy... I feel pretty empty right now. Pete always made me feel like he was sincerely glad to see me.  We had great times eating good food, singing old songs, telling good jokes and just talking and talking. Whenever we talked on the phone, he would usually get a little teared up simply for the appreciation of the call, as would I.  He was a freind and hero of mine, as are all WWII battle veterans. He wouldn't talk much about the war, but would rather talk about his church. I'll miss him immensely.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Mary and Marian. May God richley bless you with his love and comfort.

We will miss Uncle Pete so very much with his wonderful wit and devotion to family.  Bill and I will always remember the many Christmas and Fourth of July celebrations together.  (especially Bebe, Pete, and Bill singing, no CROONING, Christmas carols at Uncle John's and Aunt Trilby's on Chritmas Eve)!!!!!  Love to you, Aunt Mary and to Marian and Mimi   What a
