Frances Virginia "Ginger" Shemwell, 76, of Memphis, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by; her parents, Homer Shemwell and Elsie Shemwell, brothers, L. Homer (Sandra) Shemwell and Tommy (Charlene) Shemwell, sister-in-law, Jean Shemwell, nephews, Russell Shemwell, Billy Shemwell, a niece, Teresa Jenne' and a great nephew, Garrett Graves. She is survived by; brother, George Shemwell, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Shemwell retired from the Memphis Defense Depot. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, October 5th from 12-2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. in Memphis. The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home. The committal service will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
