Frank Bursi Jr.

Frank Bursi Jr., age 96, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on March 12, 2026. Frank was born on July 1, 1929 in Capleville, Tennessee to Frank Bursi, Sr. and Amelia Novarese Bursi. He was beloved and faithful throughout his long life of devotion to family, faith, and country.

Frank served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the construction industry and with Montessi truck line, as an over the road driver for several years until his retirement when he was 83.

Frank was married to the late Catherine Patricia Bursi for 58 years. He was also preceded in death by his son, James Charles Bursi. He is survived by his son, Frank Maurice Bursi, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.

Frank enjoyed fishing and telling war stories, sharing memories that reflected both the weight of experience and the warmth of a life well lived.

Frank was a member of St. John Catholic Church, where his faithful presence and steady spirit were known and appreciated.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 10 am until 11 am at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119. A funeral will follow at 11 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, 1663 Elvis Presley Blvd. Memphis, Tennessee 38106.
