

Frank Pirani, 77, died on May 30, 2011, Memorial Day, at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Pirani was preceded in death by his wife Cassie Pirani, his parents Frank “Geno” and Edith Pirani. Frank was a Marine. He loved the Corp and served during the Korean War. He took pride in the motto “Sempre Fidelis” until the day he died, which was appropriately on Memorial Day. That described Frank if you really knew him. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 2 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral mass begins at 11:00 a.m. all at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Shelby Drive. Graveside services with Marine Corp honors will begin at approximately 3:00 p.m. in Chapman Church of Christ Cemetery east of Ripley, Mississippi. Frank leaves his brother Carlo Pirani (Betty Ann) of Cordova; three sisters Theresa Gagliano (Tom) of Bartlett, TN, Marie Lane (Jim) of Ponte Verde, FL, and Sandra Lane Gatlin (Grant) of Grenada, MS.
