Gene Hissong, 75, passed away October 6, 2015. He was a member of Sycamore View Church of Christ. Gene worked in the hardware industry for many years having worked for Stratton Warren and Orgill Brothers and eventually retiring from Hubbard’s Hardware. Gene’s was an avid fisherman and gardener. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Katherine Hissong; a twin brother, Jerry; and his other brother, Ed Hissong. Gene is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jean Hissong; daughter, Kathy Eidson; son, Wesley Hissong, and 3 grandchildren. The family will receive guests for the sharing of stories and memories on Thursday night, October 8,2015 from five o’clock until seven o’clock at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar. A Funeral service will be held Friday at two o’clock in the afternoon at Memphis Funeral Home.
