Gerald C. Wiley, Jr., 85, of Memphis, passed away October 16, 2011. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Mr. Wiley was an avid horseman and beloved husband and father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Robbie Wiley; children, Jeanne Wilson of Memphis, Jerry Wiley (Brenda) of Newbern, TN, Barbara Burr (Wayne) of Walls, MS, Nancy Hales and Jeffrey Wiley of Memphis; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchidren. He also leaves two sisters, Frances Wylie of New York and Helen Bowman of Mississippi. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue, with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
