Geraldine B. Blackburn

Geraldine B. Blackburn, 91 passed away April 17, 2014 in Memphis TN. She was born to Harrold Doss and Wynona Denning Bowden. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Memphis. She attended Mid- America Bible College, the University of Martin, and Memphis State University where she earned her Masters Degree in Science. She was retired from South Central Bell in Union City and Memphis Board of Education.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Blackburn; daughter Andrea Juanice Benton; son Herbert Vance Benton; grandchildren Joseph Clemons and Russell Clemons and brother Wallace Kenneth Bowden.

She is survived by daughter Rita Anne Benton (Robert E ) Clemons of Union City, TN; daughter Kathy Blackburn (Larry) Gaither; son David (Sondra) Blackburn of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren Andrea Clemons, Herbert Vance Benton III, Tonya Marie Benton and Michael Herbert (Shannon) Benton; Mandy Croasman and Alex Gaither.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 19, 2014 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel at 2 p.m. The family will receive friend for one hour prior to service time.
