I am so sorry I did not know before now, (I've been out of the country), but belated or not I wanted to share  what an incredible guy Gordon was.  
He taught me to fly.  Need I say more, a one eyed crazy man, but  utterly born a bird.  The things he could make a plane do, and I'm still here so I can safely say,  he taught me to do them as well.

I'm not quite sure I want to know what he's doing to his angel wings!  Zipping round Orion, or the Pillars of Hercules? Chasing comets?
Whatever it is, you will be happy to know  he'll be having a blast. 

I was Gordo's doorgunner in Vietnam.  We kept in contact over the years.  We've visited each other both in Memphis and Florida.  He was a dear friend and I miss him.  He was a great pilot and a great friend.

We will love you and miss you always.Your neighbor for about 13 years,we will miss you and Rosie.When i look across the street, i can still see Rosie out front planting and watering her flower.I can still see you cutting your grass with your electric lawn mower. As lone as i can continue to see that,i known you two are alright.

I know you and Rosie are together.
