Grace L. Prentiss

GRACE L. PRENTISS, 93, was called to her heavenly home Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Mrs. Prentiss was a Teacher for many years at Blessed Sacrament, and dearly loved caring for her grandchildren. She was considered by many a world class cook, especially for her bread and chocolate pies. Mrs. Prentiss was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, John W. Prentiss Sr., one son, Kenneth L. Prentiss, and one grandson, Sean Prentiss. She is survived by one son, John W. Prentiss Jr. (Carolyn); one daughter, Myra Daugherty; one sister, Ida Lurlene Furniss; daughter-in-law, Karen Prentiss; seven grandchildren, Angela Stacy (Shawn), John Prentiss III (Kim), D.J. Daugherty (Jodi), David Daugherty (Katie), Patrick Prentiss, Amanda Bennard (Cody), Ashley Prentiss; seven great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Family will receive guest Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 9 am till the service begins at 10 am at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122. Burial will follow at Jumpertown Cemetery in Jumpertown, MS.
