Guy J. Helmers, 76, of Germantown passed away July 16, 2013. Guy was a communicant of Church of the Resurrection, where he was also a member of the choir for 25+ years. He was retired from BPI and enjoyed soccer and coached youth soccer. He was preceded in death by his son Darren Helmers. Guy is survived by his wife, Sue Helmers; daughter Kim Peoples (David); sons Mark Helmers (Denise), Scott Helmers (Kelly); step daughter, Stacy Harding (Randy); step sons, Rick Martin (Dee), Rob Martin, Joe Martin, Tom Martin (Hope); sister Trudy Deetman and 10 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, July 20 at 11 a.m. at The Church of the Resurrection. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Church of the Resurrection or Baptist Trinity Hospice.
