Harriet Gillis Faircloth Bradley and her twin sister, Helen, were born to Ray and Awa Gillis in Huntsville, AL on November 25, 1954. A year later the family moved to Fayetteville, NC where Harriet and Helen grew up. Harriet was always a talented, strong willed, and determined person who was a stickler for numbers. She graduated from Methodist University in Fayetteville where she worked in banking and handled property management for Admiral Elmo Zumwalt and his son, Elmo Zumwalt III. This led her to move to Memphis to work with her brother, Jerry Gillis at Gillis & Co, later to become FaxonGillis Homes. Her last many years were as an agent for RE/MAX Experts in Germantown. She loved her clients and customers who she considered family and always remembered them on holidays and birthdays.
She is survived by her son Marshall Faircloth and wife Kochi, grandsons Dallas and Dillon, brothers Jerry Gillis, (Bobbi,) Tom Gillis, (Anita,) sisters Lisa Kavelas (Dino,) and Glenda Lewis (Robert -deceased) and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family want to thank Harriet's dear friends, Barbara DuFour, B.J. Worthy, and Karen Stein for being there for her in recent years as her health deteriorated.
