Harvey Wayne Pope, 55, of Memphis, passed away November 6, 2011 at Methodist Germantown Hospital. He was a machine operator with Sonoco Products and attended Hosanna Church. He is survived by his wife, Janice Pope; son, Jeffery Pope; stepchildren, Jeffery Chase and Monica Nichols and 7 grandchildren. He also leaves three sisters, Vickie Birdsong, Cindy Hill and Charlotte Meyers and two brothers, Ronnie and Gene Pope. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be 4 p.m. Saturday, November 12, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue, with a reception to follow. He will always be remembered for his love and knowledge of music and musicians.
