

HATTIE “EDITH” DENNARD WILLIS, 87, of Memphis, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2010. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter) and a retired teacher of the Memphis City School District. Daughter of the late Dr. Ernest Dennard and Hattie Turner Dennard (Fort Smith, Arkansas). Family will receive friends on Monday, November 8, 2010 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Family Funeral Care Chapel, 4925 Summer Avenue.
Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Collins Chapel CME Church 678 Washington Avenue at 11:00 a.m. Viewing to be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Interment – Friday, November 12, 2010 at Oak Cemetery (Ft. Smith, Arkansas).
She leaves to cherish her memory, Harold Christopher Coley (Nephew); Christian and Seneca Coley (Great Nephews), Chicago, Illinois; Lorraine Dennard (Edward) Duffy, Miami Shores, Florida; Raymond (Miriam) Dennard, Hallendale, Florida and Marian “Libbe” (Lee) Harris of Juneau, Alaska. Cousins, Cecelia Webster Bushnell, Fort Smith, Arkansas; James Webster, Jr., Bakersfield, California; Marcus Webster, Los Angeles, California; Nannette Locke, Aurora, Colorado and Ryan Locke, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a host of church family and Memphis friends; dear friends, Rhonda Brown (Sorority Sister), Memphis and Todd Perry of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Lincoln High School (Ft. Smith) Classmates of the class of 1939, Lucy Toran; Corrine Rogers and Harry E. Jones.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Agnes La Rell Cater (Aggie); Dr. T. H. Dennard, Kenneth O. Dennard, and Ernest A. Dennard.
