Helen Louise Blaydes Hall died early Tuesday morning, June 27, 2017, she was 99 years old. Her husband, Edward James Hall died in December of 1967. She was from Oakland, Tennessee, her parents were Livy Malcolm Blaydes and Beatrice Andrews Blaydes. She was one of seven children and she was the surviving family member. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Newman (Burt), three grandchildren, Burt Newman, Jr., Langdon Newman (Tonya) and Shannon Long. She had seven great grandchildren. She spent most of her life in Memphis where she was a shoe salesclerk at Goldsmith’s Department store for 20 years. For the past 16 years she lived in the Nashville area. She was a member of the Brentwood United Methodist Church.
There will be a visitation and service at the Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue, Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. The burial service will be at Memphis Memorial Park. Monday, July 3, 2017, there will be a private Memorial Service at 12:30 at the Brentwood United Methodist Church.
