Helen Gwin Gwin Marshall

Helen Gwin Marshall went to be with the Lord, November 11, 2012 at the age of 99. Born August 17, 1913 in Memphis, TN, her parents were Walter N. Gwin and Helen Conway Gwin. She Graduated from St. Bridget’s and Catholic High School. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend; she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, John Henry, her son Walter J. (Bubba), two sisters, Mary Berta, Catherine Hardy and two brothers Walter and Bill Gwin. She leaves her son and his wife, John W. and Mary Marshall of Germantown, TN and beloved daughter-in-law Sheron Evans Marshall of Elizabethtown, PA. Her love of children was expressed to her 14 grandchildren with 1 more due to arrive this Christmas, 2 step-grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 nieces and 3 nephews. Many friends were adopted as family and she has helped raise 3 generations of children. Some were a part of her 99th birthday celebration in August. Her loving, feisty nature was evident in her generous spirit and devoted prayer life that earned her the title among her family and friends as #1 prayer warrior. Visitation is 5PM – 8PM November 13, 2012 at Memphis Funeral home on Poplar and Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
