Henry Earl Williams

Henry Earl Williams, age 68, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 11, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Henry was a devoted husband, father, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who truly knew him. He had a calm presence and a heart full of faith.

Henry served his country with honor in both the U.S. Army (1974-1977) and the U.S. Navy (1980-1985). During his military service, he developed a deeper relationship with Christ, a faith that guided him throughout his life. He later earned his associate degree in Business Data Analytics in 1987. He then dedicated over 30 years to being a civil servant at the IRS before retiring.

Known to his wife, Vatrice Williams, as "Bossman" and "Hendo" by family and friends, Henry cherished 26 years of marriage with Vatrice. He was a proud father to Anthony, Jonathan, and Victoria. He is survived by his five siblings: Dorothy (Earnest) Williams, Betty Williams, Patricia Williams, Judie (Willie) Nealon, and Bobby Williams.

Henry enjoyed tending to his lawn, firing up the grill for BBQ, listening to worship music, and all in all, "peace and quiet."

Now at true peace, Henry's life was a testament to love, faith, and family.

A visitation for Henry will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125.
