Hope Holland Jones

Hope Holland Jones, 92, of Memphis, TN, formerly of Germantown, TN, passed away July 13, 2022 of natural causes at Kirby Pines LifeCare Community. Born in Winston-Salem, NC, she was blessed with very loving supportive parents, Percy L. Holland and Alta Brooks Holland. She graduated from James A. Gray High School in 1948 and in that same year married James Allen Jones, Jr.

Hope was a longtime member of the Germantown United Methodist Church and the Gilbert Sunday School class. She was very active in her community and provided love and support to several organizations including Germantown United Methodist Women; Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital; P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter U; Hope House; and Church Health. She believed in loving God and loving others. Hope held a strong belief that if everyone could contribute at least a little of their time, talents, and treasures to those in need, everyone in our community would benefit (Matthew 6:1-34).

A memorial service will be held at Germantown United Methodist Church located at 2331 S. Germantown TN, 38138. Services scheduled on August 29, 2022. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.

She is survived by her children, James Allen Jones, III (Tina); Christopher Michael Jones (Keith Carpenter); and Kristi Beth Griffin; her grandsons Westley Allen Jones (Maria) and Chase Spencer Jones.
