Horace William Drennan, III (Will), 37, was given a hero’s welcome to heaven on August 9, 2022 by his father, Bill Drennan and grandfather, Horace Drennan, for whom he was named. He is also preceded in death by grandparents, Carl and Evelyn Moore.
He is survived by his son, Hayden; his mother, Melissa Drennan of Parsons, TN; his sister, Ashtyn and husband, Reid Barker of Nashville, TN; Grandmother Lucy Drennan, of West Memphis, AR; his Aunt LeeAnn & Bill Harris, of West Memphis, AR; his paternal cousins Mary-Katherine and William Harris; his uncle Roddy and Debra Moore, of Parsons, TN; his uncle Greg and Debbie Moore, of Lakeland, TN; his uncle Pete Moore, of Parsons, TN; and maternal cousins Jesse, Jonathan, Allison, Anna, Patrick, Zachary, Emma, Lonnie, and Mark; and his beloved Labrador retriever, Drake.
Will was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved the water and all the activities that could be done there. The Arkansas Razorbacks were his team and he got great joy razzing his friends anytime they beat their rival teams. Will had an infectious smile to go with his polite demeanor. His friends were very important to him, and he had many. He was a staunch supporter of his friends and was always there for them when needed. Above all, Will was a devote father to his six-year-old son, Hayden. He always said Hayden was his greatest accomplishment. Nothing pleased him more than to be on the ball field with him, either playing or coaching. Will had a heart of gold and he will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022, from 10:00 am until 12 noon with a celebration of life service immediately following at Christ United Methodist Church, 4488 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38117.
