Horace Luther Whittington, 77, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. He owned and operated Whittington Paving until his retirement. Mr. Whittington was a fifties kind of guy that loved his 1964 Buick and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Glass Whittington, son, Christopher Whittington. His survivors are two daughters, Sandra Kay Whittington, Gayelynn Whittington Oyler (Billy); one brother, Don Whittington (Gloria); two grandsons, B.J. and Andy Oyler; and three nephews, Mark, Rusty, and John Whittington. A celebration of his life will be at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Friday, February 13 from 12 to 1 p.m. and memories being shared till 2 p.m. Burial will be in Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh LaGrange.
