Ida Lowery Brock, 93, of Memphis, Tennessee, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the home of her caregiver, Sharon Blayde. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at ten o’clock in the morning in Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery. Chaplain Rick McDayde of Baptist Trinity Hospice will be the officiator. Mrs. Brock was born on January 18, 1919 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Martin & Zuela Lowery. She was married to Johnnie Brock who preceded her in death in 2010. Mrs. Brock was also preceded in death by her nine year old sister. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Hemphill of Booneville, Mississippi and of course Mrs. Blayde her caregiver of the last three years. In lieu of any floral tributes, memorial offerings in Mrs. Brock’s name may be made to the Baptist Trinity Hospice Group, 6141 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38120.
