Dearest Ida, I met you when we were in elementary school.  Your family lived in the pretty white house down the street.  You were my sister's best friend and I loved you also.  I heard that you had been ill for some time, but this was still a shock to me and my family.  Your mom was like a community mom to me and my siblings.   She wore the prettiest clothes and was a little lady, but you'd better not mess with her kids or any of the other kids in the neighborhood. Your dad drove the wonder bread truck and sometimes would give us free bread.  Your brother Junior was in ROTC and good friends with my brother.  The boys used to play football in the street during the summer.  We had a childhood in the Indian Hills community where people looked out for each other.  It was a big community family.   Even though we're adults, we still keep in touch with each other through social media.  I pray for your sister KK as we called her (Katrina) and for your relatives and friends.  You were a blessing to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting you.  Rest in peace queen.

Wow cousin I am so heartbroken to hear of your passing. I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to see you on the other side. I know God have his arms all around you because you were truly blessed RIP .😇🙏🏽🙏🏽you will be missed your cousin Mrs Brenda Parker (Woodard)

Ida garnered much attention as she marched with the "Quiet Storm" Band of Lane College centered as the lead majorette.  She excited the parade crowds and football stadium crowds marching to the various band routines with her beautiful smile, and darling personality, a true delight to see. She was loved by all.

Condolences to the Woodard family.  I'll miss my classmate's sprit and smile and will always cherish our good times.

My condolences to the family and friends. Ida was a beautiful person and humble. We went to Westwood High School and cheered together. I really enjoyed her presence because she carried herself as a charming and classy young lady.
