Dear Cousins, As one of your Dad's oldest nieces, I cherish good memories of him as a young man. My Dad, Leon Epson, Sr., was one of Uncle Isaac's 2nd (or 3rd) oldest brothers depending on which twin-Leon or Leo- was 1st. ☺ Our Dad, Leon, passed away in June 2019.

I remember Uncle Isaac's visits to our home in MS. He was fun to be around and loved to sing. He visited during holidays and on other occasions when I was a young girl. I recall a Christmas visit when Uncle Isaac helped Dad, I mean "Santa" assemble some toys for us while shielding the door so we wouldn't see what was going on!

Uncle Isaac was smart. He enjoyed encouraging my siblings and I to do well in school and be the best that we could be and pursue our dreams. He pursued his dreams and was successful. I will cherish even more my copy of his music CD. A photo of the same is included here.

I spoke to him last on his birthday and shortly after. I always remembered his special day because mine is Dec. 8. I will miss him and thank God for his good life. I also thank God that we got many chances to meet you all over the years and pray that we will stay connected as cousins even more now.

May God bless and comfort each of you as you face this loss. We know this journey well, too. We also know Our God of All Comfort, who will comfort and keep you through these times. Love, Doris
