Jack Gaia, Jr.

Jack Gaia, Jr., 69, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014. He was born October 22, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 1962. After high school Jack joined the Air Force and spent a year in Vietnam where he served as a maintenance chief for fighter jet aircraft. Later, he went to work for FedEx and was there for over 26 years. Jack thought of his co-workers and the company as his second family. Also, Jack loved cars and could tell you anything you might want to know about them, but his greatest love was his Black Labrador Retriever Sue. Jack was preceded in death by his dad Jack Sr. and his brother Andy. He leaves behind his mom Mary, brothers Dan (Patti), Mike and Tim and a sister Madeline (Stewart). Visitation and rosary service will be held at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St Paul Catholic Church in Whitehaven Tennessee.
