Jesse Lee “Jack” Rutherford, 69, of Memphis, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 17, 2015. He was a 1965 graduate of Messick High School and was retired from MLGW after 47 years of service. Jack was born in Ripley, MS on December 22, 1945 to Raymond Lee and Ethel Marie Jones Rutherford, but was a lifelong Memphian. Mr. Rutherford is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Marie Dozier Rutherford of Memphis; a daughter, Lisa Marie Rutherford Cole of Memphis; sisters, Margie Marie Rutherford Fortner and Susan Langston May, both of Collierville; and two grandsons, Dalton Bryce Cole and Kyler Mitchell Cole, both of Memphis. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, October 20 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 21 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Park.
