

Memphis – JAMES JOSEPH AMANN III, 50, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 3, 2014. He was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished son and brother, and respected man. Jim was born on April 22, 1964 to James and Dolores Amann in Cincinnati, Ohio. They raised their red-headed boy in the Northeast before they moved to Memphis, where he meet his wife, Lisa. In 32 years, they fell in love, made a home and raised their four children. A graduate of Christian Brothers College, Jim built Industrial Equipment & Specialties from a one-man show to well established company; he was a member of Hope Church, where he served with a quiet dedication in support for others. Jim will be missed by all who knew him for his guiding presence, playful wit and athletic talents. He is survived by his parents; his wife, Lisa; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Chad Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Michael Miller; son, James; daughter, Alexis; grandson, Cade Johnson; sisters, Alison and Amanda; sister-in-law, Peggy and family; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sandy and Bill Brody; and many other loved relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, at Hope Church, 8500 Walnut Grove Rd, Memphis, TN.
