James C. Caudell

James C. “Jim” Caudell, 75, lifelong Memphian died on Monday, November 10, 2014.The former owner of Standard Transmission Company, Jim was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School, class of 1957, and attended Christian Brothers University. After graduating high school Jim joined the United States Marine Corp Reserves in 1957. He served until 1960 and discharged as a Heavy Truck Driver. The family will receive guests on Thursday, November 13 from 9am until funeral services begin at 11AM all at Memphis Funeral Home located at 5599 Poplar Avenue. Entombment with military honors will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum where he will be placed next to his wife Joyce who preceded him in death. Beside Joyce and his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by his daughters Anne & Donna Caudell, and sister Rita Frash. Mr. Caudell is survived by his daughters Barbara Watkins, Gina Barnes, and Angela Watkins; son Philip Caudell; sister Alice Gunn; brother Pat Posey; grandchildren Todd LaBit, Levi Watkins, Jeremy Haag, Eric & Nathan Caudell, Ashley & Jason Barnes; and Ricky Rowland; great-grandchildren Hayden & Jayden Rowland, and Autumn & Colby Caudell.
