A retired Memphis City Government employee, Jimmy was known to his many friends and associates by the affectionate nickname of "Cheeseburger".
Cheeseburger was preceded in death by his brother Bobby and his parents, Fred and Beverly Coleman.
He is survived by his wife Anne, his two sons, Dupree Shaffer and Jason Shaffer and his grand-dogs, Singring and Rider.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, February 16, 2018 with visitation to begin at 9 a.m. and a reception to follow from 10:45 - 12:45 at Family Funeral Care.
Donations may be made in Mr. Coleman's name to Methodist Hospice Residence or the charity of donors choice
