James David Fowler, 54, died September 5, 2014 at his home in Atoka, TN. He was born in Memphis, TN, the son of Cleda Hickey Fowler and James Edward Fowler. He was a professional drummer for 10 years before becoming a respiratory therapist with Methodist Healthcare Systems. David was a licensed minister and teacher with the Assemblies of God and a member of Arlington Assembly of God. He is survived by his wife, Yvette Fowler; his mother, Cleda Fowler; sister, Susan Toombs and brother, Mike Fowler. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Chapel. A graveside service will be 2 p.m.. Monday, September 8, at Forest Hill East Cemetery.
